ROAD TRIP, ISRAEL

Updated: Mar 20, 2018

Hi everyone,

I need to be honest with you, this post will be full of sunsets and sunrises.

Masada at sunrise

I've been to Israel in July for a wedding, so I didn't stay too long but we still managed to do a 24 hour-mini road trip.

We left at home at 2am (near Tel Aviv) to reach Masada before the sunrise (around 4am).

We climbed a steep slope on a hill (ok, no so steep haha) in order to watch the sun rising upon the Dead Sea around 5am. This was a magical show.

Visiting the ruins of Masada was absolutely gorgeous but, at 6am it was already 36C !

We then took the road to head to Ein Gedi, which is an oasis and a natural reserve, located in the Judean Desert, west of the Dead Sea coast.

After climbing not even ten minutes (which seem to be 50 when it the outside temperature is 40C) you discover place is full of pet goats, waterfalls, and an amazing wildlife.

As I was still hungry to discover, my boyfriend and his father brought me to a spa by the Dead Sea where we could take mud bath and swim in the most salted sea in the world. And this was unforgettable !

On the way back to Tel Aviv, we passed by Jerusalem so I could see the Western Wall (but I unfortunately had almost no time to have a walk inside the city, so this is absolutely something I'll have to do when I'm back there), short but very nice experience.

We ended up the day in Yafo, old center of Tel Aviv to stroll around and watch the sunset. This city by the beach is so charming and authentic.

We had dinner at Aladdin, a very good small restaurant on a rooftop where you can admire the whole city, the Mosque and the sea.

Even though we came back exhausted, I'd change nothing to those 24h fully loved and enjoyed.

Sharing with you some pictures of the wedding I was invited to at sunset time, just because !
